Fell is a short precision platformer with a limited color palette, pixel-art aesthetic. My goal with this project was to make something simple and small to release on steam to prove to myself and the world that I could. Since achieving that goal, the game has reached over 2,700 players on steam with 94% out of 91 reviews being positive.
This game was developed in GameMaker Studio 2 with accessibility in mind in a few unconventional ways: First, the limited color palettes were designed to maximize contrast between background and interactable objects for those with vision impairments (this palette system also easily allowed the introduction of colorblind-friendly palettes.) The game also has no text aside from the title, splash screen, and counters/timers. All information is displayed through icons, making the game highly accessible for non-english speakers and those with reading disabilities.
